Beth's Review:

If you love plants, this book needs to be in your collection! It is an amalgamation of 50 plant obsessed, male Instagrammers sharing their thoughts, tips and advice on keeping plants (sometimes referred to throughout the book as “family” or “loved ones”) alive and happy in their homes.

All of these men come from different parts of the globe, so it was interesting to hear how plants react in different climates and how they deal with it, for instance the man living in Indonesia puts an icecube on his plants at the end of each day to keep it drinking overnight because of the high humidity and I was surprised to read how many of them swear by serenading their plants to keep them happy.

There’s a list of “Top 10 Hard-to-Killables” which is the most valuable listicle any notorious plant killer (It me!) can come across, and so many tips on how to care for countless different varieties.

It would be remiss of me not to mention that it is not just the beautiful array of plants that are nice to look at in this book, but also their owners. Each page comes with the Instagram handle of the plant boy being profile, so it’s quite easy to switch from book to Instagram and wind up 6 years deep into one of the plant boys Instagram feeds.

My favourite tip in the book, which was mentioned by quite a lot of the men: if a plant doesn’t like the conditions of your home, don’t force it. Swap it out instead of trying to imitate the conditions it grows in.

Publisher's Blurb: Curated by the creator of the Instagram account of the same name, this is a stylishly designed, fun gift book profiling lush plants and the men who love them. The book begins with a section on selecting, growing and styling plants before introducing the boys. Each entry includes a top plant tip, stunning photography and a profile of the green-fingered boy who made it happen.
