Our favourite Sydney event venues for winter events

As we are now in the last month of autumn, the weather is cooling, and end of financial year events are coming up!

While Sydney excels at outdoor venues that celebrate our beautiful harbour and parks, winter is a time to cosy up and enjoy red wine and comfort meals in some of our beautiful restaurants situated in our stunning Sydney buildings.

Different events require a different atmosphere so we've put together a few for you to check out if you are looking for somewhere to host your clients, or your team.

The Mint, Macquarie Street, Sydney

The Gold Melting room in The Mint is large enough for a daytime conference or lunch, and intimate enough to hold a medium sized dinner. You can also enjoy pre-dinner drinks in The Mint's gorgeous courtyard, surrounded by the historic building.

Run by the fabulous team at Musuems of History NSW, this is a place we would really recommend.

Shellhouse

We've recently done some beautiful events at Shellhouse, and loved it! This purpose built restaurant located on Level 7 of the new Brookfield Place development, has the most beautiful feel, with a stunning dining room extending out to a large terrace, and also a cosy bar that can double up as a private dining room.

Grana Privato

Full disclosure, we are the resident florists in Hinchcliff House, in which Grana Privato is situated at the top floor, above Grana and Lana. Grana Privato is a private event space accomodating cocktail parties, seminars, and gala dinners.

The heritage nature of the building gives the space so much atmosphere and the food is amazing! The team are also great to work with, speaking from experience :)

Bennelong

When you are looking for the ultimate Sydney venue, with delicious food, a good view, and in an iconic building, how could you look further than Bennelong to impress your international clients?

It has a gorgeous mezzanine level above the main restaurant, where you can hold anything from a small cocktail event, presentation, or private dinner.

Chiswick, Woollahra

Set within beautiful gardens, and next to their own market garden, Chiswick is the perfect spot for a relaxed long lunch.

They have a fantastic private dining room that can easily be separated from the rest of the restaurant, and has direct access to the gardens for an outdoor cocktail before your meal.

NEL

Set in a bunker-esque environment in Surry Hills, NEL is the perfect place to take your special clients for dinner, in an intimate atmosphere, somewhere different to the usual, and cosy as anything. And I hear the food is AMAZING!!!
