Fact: getting a peony to open at the right time is a fine art.
There are so many factors that affect it: freshness, exposure to light, the temperature outside, the variety of Peony, at what stage that flower was cut from the ground.
For this reason I would like to acknowledge and applaud the coral peony in Alex's bouquet for opening just the right amount while these photos were being taken. It behaved so perfectly, standing tall among the deep purple David Austin roses, white hydrangea and peachy-pink ranuculus.
Congratulations Alex and Alasdair on your beautiful, elegantly styled wedding.
