Working with Wunderplant

by 2 |

I went down to Melbourne on Friday to work with Amy Wright from Wunderplant - I'd been bugging her for ages to let me come and work with her after seeing her awesome work on the Design Files! I thought she had a really unique style and flair that I could learn a lot from! (And it was also a good excuse to go down to Melbourne for the weekend :))

I wasn't disappointed! Amy and her off-sider Mara were working on 3 weddings on the weekend - Jinks Creek winery, Collingwod Children's Farm, and Stoke House cafe at St Kilda.

I was lucky enough to help set up at the latter two - two totally different themes and venues, and both so beautiful in their own way!!!

The wedding at Collingwood Childrens Farm was a more rustic look, the styling was beautiful with bentwood chairs and hessian on the tables, and Amy used a lot of old clear and brown bottles with pinks, oranges and reds, like flowering gum, cedum, king proteas etc. The lightshades were wire, and Amy hung beautiful gum from them, which brought your eye up.

Then we moved on to the Stokehouse - you couldn't get a more different atmosphere and venue - the glamazons of Melbourne were piling out from lunch when we arrived - stillettos and solarium galore - but such a beautiful spot at the beach on a gorgeous day. Amy did two types of arrangments on the tables in whites, mauves and blues - hydrangea, cedum, really pretty herbs, and even some grasses just looked so beautiful and relaxed.

I took these photos for these 2 weddings for you all to enjoy! And please have a look at Wunderplant's website - www.wunderplant.com.au
