For Brunch
Well you know I'm going to say The Depot in Bondi - always the best food and service from a beautiful family run business, and who can forget the beautiful view of Bondi Beach!!
Unfortunately this is the only place I eat brunch so I can't suggest any other places to go! They are also open for a delicious dinner on Thursday and Friday night, which I also highly recommend.
For Lunch
The perfect place for a great lunch for a small group! I love the fitout, very retro!! And the food is amazing and so interesting.
For the quintessential beach vibe, Sean's is one of my favourite restaurants in Sydney - not only overlooking beautiful Bondi, but in an iconic building, and with a gallery wall that rivals the view! The food is also amazing, and changes all the time depending what is in season, and what is taking Sean's fancy. But you need to book in early to get a table, it's very popular!
For north-side dwellers, I highly recommend a long lunch at Poetica!! Smokey meats, fresh seafood with zingy tastes and amazing wines, it's perfect for a mid-week long lunch with friends or your team at work. The sun pours in through the full length windows, which open out to the deck, it's just lovely!
For Dinner
Beautiful, moody and also fun, Japanese restaurant in North Sydney - is where we are going for our Christmas party this year, followed by karaoke at the Pickled Possum!
Love Supreme, Paddington
This place has been around for a long time, for good reason, the food is AMAZING!! Proper, fresh, seasonal italian food, good wines, topped with gelato, what more do you want for your Christmas catch up for Paddo locals!
It's the perfect spot for a small group, and also caters for larger groups. And a top tip, the mushroom gnocci is TO DIE FOR!!
A beautiful euro vibe, with soaring ceilings and a beautiful mezzanine level, this is your chance to visit Paris, on your doorstep, for a special lunch or dinner with friends during or after work, or on the weekend.
For a larger group, The Charles has a private dining room for special occasions! There is also a fab bistro next door for more bite sized snacks, a more casual meal, or a drink.
For a drink
Famelia is a beautiful little wine bar on Enmore Road in Newtown - it has the most amazing range of wines, focussing on women wine-makers.
Famelia is a great place to meet a couple of friends for a pre-Christmas catch up after work, or on a Saturday afternoon.
Such a beautiful atmosphere, with yummy nibbles to accompany your lovely wine, I highly recommend. Also I used to babysit owner Amelia, so of course I recommend :)
The perfect spot to go for a lovely gin before dinner, or a lovely gin after dinner, or a lovely gin in the afternoon in their new outdoor area on Crown Street. I mean, really, it's just lovely gin. And lovely people. And a lovely, and very cool, place.
If you're also after a great gift, Four Pillars do a great Christmas Gin every year! But my favourites are the shiraz gin, or the rare dry.
