When we first started doing weddings at Floreat, nearly every weekend was spent on the road, heading to Narrabri, Tamworth, Dubbo, Southern Highlands, Hunter Valley, Tumut! We don't do it so much anymore, so when we were asked to do the flowers for Sarah and Chris's wedding in Walcha, we were stoked!
Especially as we were able to work again with our friends www.northwestevents.com.au, and Relish Catering, and for the first time, the amazing Rochelle from https://www.isntitlovely.com.au
The beauty of having a wedding in the countryside means you can take advantage of all that wonderful space, which is what Sarah and Chris did when they decided to have theirs on a private property. The flip side is that you are at the mercy of Mother Nature, when a last minute storm led to the marquee was being quickly transformed into a hybrid ceremony-reception venue, and in the end, it was still perfect!
And as all good florist-come-guests do, we adapt, then we change our clothes, party into the night, and pack it all up the next day.
