Celebrity Wedding Trends

by Jane Lampe |

OK, I admit, I'm a sucker for celebrity style. We get lots of inspo from celebrities for weddings too, and find so many trends are started from certain celebs.

With weddings slowly coming back we've put together a few timeless trends inspired by some of our favourite celebs that we'd like to see more of at Floreat!

Bouquets -

Elegant little posy of lily of the Valley

Who can forget Princess Grace's perfect little posy of lily of the valley.

This perhaps inspired the more relaxed version of the beautiful Carolyn Bessette Kennedy.

Lily of the Valley isn't in season for very long, so you can also re-create this look with other gorgeous flowers like peonies and peirus, or an aussie take with simple flannel flowers!

Inspired Floreat for Bec and Beva, Hannah and Oliver and Caitlin and Stephane

Statement Bright bouquet

Create a gorgeous bright bouquet, with seasonal flowers of course - cue Margherita Missoni and Drew Barrymore with their relaxed, summer bouquets of bright seasonal David Austin roses and peonies.

Inspired Floreat for Elle and Jeremy, Sari and Josh and Greta and Jamie

Rustic "herb" bouquet

Bit of a sucker for the relaxed, country style posy with a touch of herbs, like Jessica Biel's nosegay with rosemary and chamomile, and Charlotte Casiraghi's Provence posy of lavender and wheat.

Inspired Floreat for Daya and Phil

 Flowercrowns

I loved Kate Moss's wedding!! So many cute little flower girls in their gorgeous flower crowns by Scarlett and Violet.

Or a completely different take on the flower crown - Elizabeth Taylor's statement hyacinth hairpiece - which she wore for her first wedding to Richard Burton.

Inspired Floreat for Carolyn and David

Ceremony flowers

Ok, we are keeping it royal here, because they are the best :)

First, the statement entrance for Meghan and Harry by the amazing Phillipa Craddock (which was constructed with no floral foam - and afterwards all the flowers were repurposed into bouquets and donated to hospices in London.)

Inspired Floreat for John and Paul, and Nicole and Callum

But the one I really loved was the avenue of trees down the aisle at Westminster Abbey for Kate and Will by Shane Connolly. The trees were later taken to Windsor Castle and planted on the estate.

Inspired Floreat for Rachel and Chris

Reception Flowers

We rarely get a glimpse of celebrity wedding receptions, but one I LOVED was Poppy Delevigne's Marrakech nupitals, with tables laden with pots of lavender and herbs, roses, cornflowers and other beautiful garden flowers en masse.
